Middletown Old Time Peach Festival

August 19- Middletown Old Time Peach Festival

The 2023 Middletown Peach Festival will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, beginning at 8:45 am with the annual Peach parade on Broad Street and will conclude at 4 pm.  Entertainment is scheduled throughout the day around town.  There are activities for children, a local artist exhibit, historical exhibits, a peach pie contest, crafts, music, food, games, and of course – Peaches! 

The festival is hosted by the Middletown Historical Society, which raises funds through the event.. "The Middletown Historical Society collects, preserves, educates, and encourages the development of Middletown’s history in order to foster historic awareness and pride in our community." Middletown was once a center of successful peach farms, but a blight destroyed most of the peach trees in Delaware in the late 19th century.

There’s still time to join us at the Middletown Peach Festival! We will have a table display set up to greet passers by who may be interested in our organization. As one of the most inclusive genealogical societies in the country, DAR boasts some 3,000 chapters across the United States and internationally.
