Cooch’s Bridge Chapter DAR Dollhouse
This hand crafted 7-room colonial dollhouse was renovated as a DAR Dollhouse by Sarah O’Donnell and Linda Danko. The cream clapboard colonial house is dressed in Odessa green shutters and front door, a wood shingle room and an artisan made brick chimney. The house is 17 by 31.5 inches and 28.5 inches to the roof peak. It comes furnished and ready to display. This dollhouse is up for auction for our Chapter Regent’s Project. The dollhouse will include delivery within 40 miles of Newark, DE.
Cooch’s Bridge Chapter Regent’s Project Description: The Cooch’s Bridge Chapter remains committed to serving those who served our nation, especially the growing number of at‑risk veterans in New Castle County. Many face housing instability, aging‑related challenges, and difficulty accessing essential benefits. Local partners like the Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans, continue working to provide shelter, medical care, and support services, but the need remains significant.
As part of our chapter’s Service to America mission, my project is focused on strengthening these community efforts. Contributions will support programs that provide emergency assistance, transportation help, mental health and other critical resources for veterans in crisis. Together, we can ensure that Delaware’s veterans are honored not only in remembrance, but in the practical support they deserve today.
How the Auction will Work: This will be a “Sealed-Bid (confidential)” auction where anyone may bid confidentially (privately). A starting minimum bid of $150.00 is set.
Bidding may be submitted online via the chapter website, in person, or by mailing your completed bid sheet to Sarah O’Donnell, 200 N Cass Street, Middletown, DE 19709 with the following information:
Bidder’s First and Last Name, Bidder’s DAR Number, Bidder’s Address and Phone number, Maximum Bid Amount (in dollars) Offered by the Bidder
Bidding will end at the end of the November 2026 meeting on 11/21/26. The winner will be announced at the November meeting.
